Adult Mandated: Online Registration

Meriden Adult Education provides opportunities for adults who want to learn about computers, discover new hobbies, improve physical fitness or brush up on some skills. Additionally, we bring you classes in English as a Second Language, Citizenship, basic skills and a variety of ways to prepare for a high school diploma.

If you have ever said, “Some day I am going to learn….” then today is that day. Look at our catalog, register for a class and let us “Show you the way.”

Registration Requirements         

  • Must have proof you are a Meriden resident. (Example: mail, bills etc...)
  • Up-to-date Photo ID
  • All applicants must take a CASAS Reading & Math test

Adult Basic Programs

Adult Basic Programs consist of non-credit offerings to prepare you to become a citizen, to help you learn English and to improve your skills in reading, writing and mathematics. Morning and evening classes in a variety of locations are available to anyone over the age of 17 and not enrolled in any high school.

Diploma Programs

The High School Diploma Program has both credit and non-credit offerings. The GED® program provides non-credit preparation designed to help you take the test to obtain a State of Connecticut Equivalency Diploma. The High School Credit Diploma Program offers you the opportunity to complete your high school credit classes and earn a diploma from the Meriden Public Schools. Participants must be 17 years old and  not enrolled in any high school.
