Meriden Adult Education
Registration Requirements
To enroll, students must provide:

Proof of Meriden residency (mail, utility bill, etc.)

Current photo ID

Completion of a CASAS Reading and Math Assessment
Adult Basic Programs (Non-Credit)
Adult Basic Programs are designed to:
-
Prepare students for U.S. Citizenship
-
Help students learn or improve English
-
Improve reading, writing, and math skills
Class Schedule:
-
Morning and evening classes available
-
Offered at various locations
Eligibility:
-
Must be 17 years or older
-
Must not be enrolled in any high school
High School Credit Diploma Program (HSCDP)
To enroll, students must provide:

Official signed transcript
-
Official withdrawal form (if transferring)
-
Parental consent form (for students under 18)

Signed transfer form from MPS to MAE
This program allows students to complete required high school credits and earn a Meriden Public Schools diploma.
Eligibility:

Must be 17 years or older
-
Must not be enrolled in any high school
GED® Program
The GED® Program offers non-credit preparation classes to help students pass the GED® test and earn a State of Connecticut High School Equivalency Diploma.
